GWOnline.net is hosting another art contest! In the Create-A-Dress contest, the challenge is to design outfits for two characters. Lots of in-game prizes are up for grabs, so let your inner fashionista go wild.
If you are looking for a new build to play, don't be afraid to try out the Necromancer/Warrior Meleemancer build posted at Guild Wars Realm. This "squishy but threatening" build is designed for mayhem in the Random Arenas. For those wanting to try something new with their Ritualists, take a look at the Anti-Blocking Ritualist build for GvG battles.
And don't forget about the Draw a Staffer Contest at Guild Wars @ GameAmp. You still have time to perfect your artistic renderings of various members of the site's staff.

The next RAWR Cup Tournament has been announced! The second round of the RAWR Cup Title Series begins April 5, 2008, and features more contests, more chances to win, and best of all, more prizes! As before, the RAWR Cup supports three different divisions, thus offering a competitive experience to players of all skill levels. Prizes this time range from the Killer Nic Gaming Network card to in-game miniatures such as Asura, Destroyers, Long Haired Yeti, Naga Raincallers, and Oni. In addition to rewarding division top finishers, the RAWR Cup will also present fun prizes to players and teams who win specialized contests. Registration information, a full list of prizes, and rule/contest details can be found on the tournament pages.
MesCon is back! Join Mesmers from around the world in a celebration on March 15, and don't forget to wear green! Last year's event resulted in so much Mesmer fun and frivolity that multiple zones were needed to hold all of the celebrants. For a look back, check out last year's pictures. The Russian-language fansite, GWSkills.Net, is proud to unveil a new build creator. They invite you to use their tools (in Russian only) to experiment with new and exciting builds.
The Rohar's RoughnecksCharacter Progress Tracker has received several improvements recently. You have new options for viewing your character's statistics, additional background colors to make viewing large tables easier, and an improved ability to track a variety of accomplishments—including birthday presents. They also maintain a list of updates for your convenience.

France Guild Wars announced a change of address. They've packed up their guides, forums, and databases and moved to new digs at Guild Wars Univers Virtuels. This past December, Guild Cafe and Rebel Rising [rawr] coordinated the Rawr Cup Tournament. The event was a huge success, so they're going to do it all over again—only better! The newly formed Guild Cafe Tournament Committee represents many guilds and many styles of play. The committee will discuss ideas about tournament mechanics, prizes, and map rotations. Sound good to you? Then maybe you should apply to join the committee!
Speaking of builds, SabreWolf of Guild Wars Realm has posted a Monk/Dervish version of the classic 55-Monk. If you're experimenting with effective farming builds, give this one a try.

One of the most popular features at Guild Wars Guru is the Auction system. Tournament Winners: Please Note - January 15, 2008
We have not yet received release forms from a number of December ATS winners. If you won a prize, you must send in a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release form (or an email informing us that we already have your forms on file) before we can award your prize. GvG prizes will be distributed based on a list submitted to us by the guild leader designating eight guild members as prize recipients. If you have a form to submit, need another copy of the form, or have any questions or concerns, please write to tournaments@arena.net and we will assist you. We have extended the final date to receive all forms, but we must receive signed forms by Noon Pacific (-8 GMT) on Monday, January 21, to avoid forfeiture of prizes.

Recently, Guild Wars PT hosted a live, 1-versus-1 tournament during XL Party, an event in Lisbon, Portugal. Congratulations to the organizers for a successful tourney, and to Doute Caforcatres for winning. You can read more about the event (with pictures) here.

Photics has brought their forums back online and they look forward to seeing lots of community involvement. They have also updated their comic, Lost in Ascalon. And, if that's not enough, the site offers a brand new, fully-featured blogging tool players can use to write about their gaming experiences.
The Healbot Blues continuing storyline is winding down, although the artist plans to keep the conclusion open-ended for further adventures and special features. Guild Wars and Sarah Brightman
As some of our eagle-eyed players have noticed, Symphony, the latest album from world-renowned vocalist Sarah Brightman features art from Guild Wars. Several months ago Ms. Brightman approached ArenaNet Art Director Daniel Dociu, feeling that his art style was a great match for this album. The album and website include concept art from Guild Wars, as well as original art created specifically for Symphony.
We'd like to introduce the newest member to the Guild Wars community team. Her name is Regina Buenaobra, and she starts today! She's created a user page on the wiki, so check it out.
