The Order of the Phoenix Alliance and Countess Reapera invite every Guild Wars player in the known universe to their Soiree at the Sanctum, a huge autumn bash in the Imperial Sanctum International Districts. This party, which celebrates autumn and the anniversary of the Phoenix Alliance's founding, begins on November 14^th at 6PM EST! The Countess and the Alliance are serving free refreshments and are hosting costume contests, scavenger hunts, and other tests of wit and ability throughout the evening! Photics offers two great creative features this month. "Guild Wars: High Ground" is a work of fan fiction that is now available online and for Android phones! In this interactive tale you choose skills to progress the epic story, which features cameo appearances by popular Guild Wars characters, vividly described battles, drama, and an internet meme! Sounds like fun, huh? To read it, check out the Photics web site!

Issue #35 of the Photics e-zine is jam-packed with Guild Wars goodness, including fan art, poetry, and opinion pieces. This issue contains "The Moa," a parody of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" that talks about the wait for Guild Wars 2. This issue also includes an interesting piece that discusses game marketing and how the industry has changed since Guild Wars was first released. Read on!

The good people over at The Guild Hall will unveil a massive renovation to their site on July 30. The TGH main page and forum will get a full makeover and will be shinier than ever. Plus, they're adding tons of new content ranging from full length articles to mini-columns. TGH will host an in-game celebration at The Great Temple of Balthazar, ID1 on July 30th from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM GMT, 4:00 - 10:00 PM EST. They'll be running party events and giving away tons of prizes. Stop by The Guild Hall for more details!

The Webmaster of Guild-Wars.info, Kronos1980, has written a series of articles about the history of Guild Wars. If you read German, you'll find Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow a very cool read!

Italian fansite Trip4Tyria is hosting a Guild Wars Dragon Hunt Screenshot Contest! Prizes total 200k in in-game gold! The contest ends on July 11, so start taking those screenshots of dragons!

Kumori Inu, AKA Sabre Wolf, is back with another detailed play-by-play rundown of the May 2009 mAT Final! The video features more improvements to the intro sequence and an extended pre-game show. Watch the video and participate in the discussion over at the Guild Wars Guru thread!

The Defenders of the North [EYE] Alliance and Sanitarium.FM want you to stretch your creativity to the limit in the Mortbane 1079 AE contest, hosted by Grim Mortbane [EYE]! Currently in session is the Short Story contest, with the top three winners receiving 100k, 75k, and 50k in in-game gold! The Sketch contest starts in June, after the winning stories are announced, so artists, get cracking! Guild Wars Auction recently re-launched their website. Check out their blog, where they also talk about their new security features.

LaZy Nation is again celebrating the Cinco de Mayo Event. The festivities will take place on May 2nd in Vlox's Falls, running from 4:00 PM EST(20:00 GMT) till 6:00 PM EST (22:00 GMT). Bring your sombrero and some dwarven ale and join the party!

You have probably seen some of the amazing videos created by our players. Now the Guild Wars Video Makers Group, headed by oggycheese, has collaborated to create a video that received a couple of YouTube honors. See for yourself—and keep up the good work, guys!

MantleCon is back! Formerly known as the Mursaat Rally, this event invites players to show their support for the Unseen Ones. The theme for MantleCon this year is to seek knowledge of the Seers, the ancient enemy of the Mursaat. Join the event organizers: Gmr Leon, Konig Des Todes, Daniel Frozenwind, and The Archivists Sanctum [Lore] for speeches, lore discussion, costume contests, trivia quizzes, and more! Mondes Persistants has revamped their website for the third time and is celebrating by running three contests. Submit your screenshots, artwork, and stories to win in-game items, your character drawn by an artist, and a special forum title. GWShop now has listings in English in addition to French. Each language has its own separate database, so each user can post items in French or English independently.

Blade Radio is hosting two events this October. The first is an interview with Yt Cracker on October 4. They will also be hosting Nights of the Minipets from October 30 to November 1, during which they will give away over 300+ Miniatures. A member of the Presearing Community, Silhouette Eyes, is hosting the "Survivor: Pre-Searing" competition. This is your chance to outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest. Get placed on a tribe, compete in weekly photo challenges, win weekly prizes, plus have a shot at winning the grand prize and the title of Soul Survivor! The competition promises jaw-dropping twists and shocking surprises to keep you on your toes the entire time. Applications are open from June 24 to August 5. Guild Wars Vault has recently published an editorial comparing Guild Wars to subscription-based MMOGs.
The Photics.com Guild Wars Video Guides for the Nightfall Bonus missions (1-15) are now available at a higher resolution. Previously, they were 320 x 240. Now they're 640 x 480 - that's double the size! To view them, head over to Photics.com.
Scions of Loki is a group journal which uses the setting of the Guild Wars campaigns and chronicles the adventures of the House Scarabae, a family of Necromancers.

Guild Wars Vault casts some love on six skills this week with a guide to Healing Minions. Declanangfaeder covers a mix of Necromancer and Monk skills that can help keep your hard-won minions alive...er, undead.
GWOnline.net is hosting another art contest! In the Create-A-Dress contest, the challenge is to design outfits for two characters. Lots of in-game prizes are up for grabs, so let your inner fashionista go wild.
If you are looking for a new build to play, don't be afraid to try out the Necromancer/Warrior Meleemancer build posted at Guild Wars Realm. This "squishy but threatening" build is designed for mayhem in the Random Arenas. For those wanting to try something new with their Ritualists, take a look at the Anti-Blocking Ritualist build for GvG battles.
And don't forget about the Draw a Staffer Contest at Guild Wars @ GameAmp. You still have time to perfect your artistic renderings of various members of the site's staff.

It's almost spring, but this week, Guild Wars Vault is covering the Ranger skill Winter. Learn how to use this skill in combination with others. Also at Guild Wars Vault, TorgasPrim returns with a Candid Conversation with Morina Duathi.
Get out your crayons, it's another art contest! Guild Wars @ Game Amp wants you to participate in its Draw a Staffer Contest. The organizers encourage people of all skill levels to submit entries. The contest runs until April 10, so get scribbling.
Don't forget about MesCon, the party to celebrate all things Mesmer-izing. The festivities get rolling this Saturday in the Henge of Denravi.
It is with great regret that we bid farewell to Guild Cast this week. The final episode, which touches on the history of the popular podcast, is available for download now. We wish the Guild Cast team the best in all of their future projects and hope to see them again soon! (Say, as info starts getting released about Guild Wars 2, perhaps?)

The next RAWR Cup Tournament has been announced! The second round of the RAWR Cup Title Series begins April 5, 2008, and features more contests, more chances to win, and best of all, more prizes! As before, the RAWR Cup supports three different divisions, thus offering a competitive experience to players of all skill levels. Prizes this time range from the Killer Nic Gaming Network card to in-game miniatures such as Asura, Destroyers, Long Haired Yeti, Naga Raincallers, and Oni. In addition to rewarding division top finishers, the RAWR Cup will also present fun prizes to players and teams who win specialized contests. Registration information, a full list of prizes, and rule/contest details can be found on the tournament pages.
Guild Wars Vault has some new additions to its wallpaper gallery and some new player-submitted screenshots. As for fanfiction, Suner45 has uploaded Diseased Blades: Chapter 7.
MesCon is back! Join Mesmers from around the world in a celebration on March 15, and don't forget to wear green! Last year's event resulted in so much Mesmer fun and frivolity that multiple zones were needed to hold all of the celebrants. For a look back, check out last year's pictures. Even if you missed GWOnline Guild's third birthday party this past Saturday, you can still stop by the birthday forum thread to pass on your well-wishes and congratulations.

Did you miss the Canthan New Year celebration? Or, were you there but yearn to relive it? Guild Wars Guru has a Complete Guide to the 2008 Canthan New Year Event. This fantastic guide covers the new miniatures, and includes descriptions of the missions and screenshots of the festivities.

NCRage, a new fansite that supports all NCsoft games, has gone live. To celebrate, they're giving away lots of prizes. To receive one, submit a news post interesting enough to be published on the site, or set yourself apart from the pack with your contributions to the forum discussions. They're giving away gear, games, and other goodies.
The Russian-language fansite, GWSkills.Net, is proud to unveil a new build creator. They invite you to use their tools (in Russian only) to experiment with new and exciting builds.
The Rohar's Roughnecks Character Progress Tracker has received several improvements recently. You have new options for viewing your character's statistics, additional background colors to make viewing large tables easier, and an improved ability to track a variety of accomplishments—including birthday presents. They also maintain a list of updates for your convenience.
The GWOnline Community Guild will be celebrating their third birthday on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 8:00 AM Pacific time (-8 GMT). France Guild Wars announced a change of address. They've packed up their guides, forums, and databases and moved to new digs at Guild Wars Univers Virtuels. If you're in the neighborhood, they'd love for you stop by and visit. If you have any links to France Guild Wars in your bookmarks or on your site, please update them now.
This past December, Guild Cafe and Rebel Rising [rawr] coordinated the Rawr Cup Tournament. The event was a huge success, so they're going to do it all over again—only better! The newly formed Guild Cafe Tournament Committee represents many guilds and many styles of play. The committee will discuss ideas about tournament mechanics, prizes, and map rotations. Sound good to you? Then maybe you should apply to join the committee!
This week's Skill Spotlight at Guild Wars Vault gets right to the point with Needling Shot. Consider this frequently overlooked skill for your spike-damage builds.
Speaking of builds, SabreWolf of Guild Wars Realm has posted a Monk/Dervish version of the classic 55-Monk. If you're experimenting with effective farming builds, give this one a try.

Guild Wars Guru has added data from Eye of the North to Sjeng's Collector Finder. Now you'll find information from Eye of the North as well as the three campaigns. Not familiar with this nifty tool? Then it's time you had a look. The Collector Finder helps you locate specific collectors and gives you tips for acquiring the items you'll need to trade. It even includes maps!
Guild Wars Vault has added fresh content. Head over there and browse the new images in their Player Screenshot Gallery. While you're there, take a peek at the skill write-up for Seeking Arrows and the thrilling new chapters in the fan fiction library.

One of the most popular features at Guild Wars Guru is the Auction system. To help new users feel comfortable jumping in and using the auction tools, Guru Moderator Wynthyst has written a Common Sense Guide to Successful Auctioning on GWG Auctions. This guide not only lists the steps involved in participating, but offers tips on making it a great experience for everyone involved.
Guild Wars Vault has new community-updated content for you to peruse. You'll find fresh postings in their Collector's List and Player Screenshots. There are also brand new Skill Spotlights that detail Power Shot, Ash Blast and Armor of Earth.
Wintersday might be over, but it lives on in our hearts... and in the Wintersday Calendar. If you haven't seen the calendar's 24 pieces of fan-submitted artwork, do yourself a favor and check them out before winter melts away.
Guild Cast returns with the first show of 2008. Episode #91 features Guild Wars-themed Jeopardy over voice-chat. Have a hard time imagining it? Then you'll just have to listen!

We have not yet received release forms from a number of December ATS winners. If you won a prize, you must send in a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release form (or an email informing us that we already have your forms on file) before we can award your prize. GvG prizes will be distributed based on a list submitted to us by the guild leader designating eight guild members as prize recipients. If you have a form to submit, need another copy of the form, or have any questions or concerns, please write to tournaments@arena.net and we will assist you. We have extended the final date to receive all forms, but we must receive signed forms by Noon Pacific (-8 GMT) on Monday, January 21, to avoid forfeiture of prizes.

Recently, Guild Wars PT hosted a live, 1-versus-1 tournament during XL Party, an event in Lisbon, Portugal. Congratulations to the organizers for a successful tourney, and to Doute Caforcatres for winning. You can read more about the event (with pictures) here.
Please welcome GuildWiki.de to the official fansite roster. This specialty, German-language site is actively updated and has a huge collection of information.
Photics has brought their forums back online and they look forward to seeing lots of community involvement. They have also updated their comic, Lost in Ascalon. And, if that's not enough, the site offers a brand new, fully-featured blogging tool players can use to write about their gaming experiences.
The Healbot Blues continuing storyline is winding down, although the artist plans to keep the conclusion open-ended for further adventures and special features. You can visit the artist's blog for news and the latest art. Old comics will remain archived for your enjoyment. Thank you, Healbot, for all of the laughs. Here's to more in the future!
