Grenth and Dwayna Wintersday Costumes
For the first time ever, we're offering two fantastic Wintersday-themed costumes, available for purchase in the Guild Wars In-Game Store and the NCsoft Store. These special decorative garments allow you to dress up as a stylized version of Grenth, the god of death, or his immortal rival Dwayna, goddess of light! As an added bonus, these costumes fit into the new costume slots on your character portrait, so they can be worn over your existing armor without affecting your stats!
Buy the Grenth and Dwayna costumes separately or as a pair. Each costume costs $6.99 (€5.99/£3.99) singly, but for a limited time (until January 17, 2010) we're offering both costumes for $9.99 (€8.99/£5.99). Once you've made this one-time purchase, the costume keys will be applied to your account, and the costumes can be created for any of your characters.
Next, speak to any [Costume Maker] NPC to receive your costume. They can be found next to the [Festival Hats] NPC in Kamadan, Lion's Arch, the Shing Jea Monastery, and the Great Temple of Balthazar.
The costumes that you have purchased for your account will appear in the NPC's dialog window. Select the one you want to create. Your costume will appear in your inventory. Double-click the costume icon to equip it, or just drag the icons from your inventory into the new costume slots in your character panel.
New Costume Slots
We've created two new costume slots in your character portrait—a body slot and a headpiece slot. When you equip the costume slots with items like the Grenth or Dwayna costumes, or festival hats, you change your appearance without affecting your armor stats. Use the toggles to display or hide your costume and headpiece.
What about the festival hats I already have?
Not to worry! Just speak to the [Festival Hats] NPC and request one of your existing festival hats. From now on, he will only give new versions that can be equipped in your costume headpiece slot.
